Black Sunday!

Ah ma was very mad at mummy and I this afternoon. We followed ah ma and di yi to Cold Storage. When we reached home, we saw our neighbour's cat - Cruella. She is a stray cat with a very ugly and fierce looking face. So we jumped down from the car and started chasing her. Wow, mummy can run very fast when she chases Cruella! We ran across the road and ah ma was screaming very loudly for us to come back. The whole neighbourhood could hear her. We just ignored ah ma and she was very mad with us. She said that it was very dangerous to run across the road and we could have been run down by passing cars.

When we went back inside the house, ah ma asked DH to bring out the cane. Ah ma doesn't believe in "Sparing the cane and spoil the kid". She caned both mummy and I very hard and it was so painful. She wanted us to know that it was wrong to run out of the house alone and chase cats across the road. She doesn't want anything bad to happen to us. Mummy was very scared and she hid under the sofa for most of the afternoon. Aunty Roxy was lucky because she didn't follow us otherwise, she would have gotten caning too.

Sorry mum. I promise I won't do it again. Please don't cane me, it's very painful.

It was a very hot day today but suddenly, there was a heavy rain downpour in the late afternoon. Jerry had just recovered from the flu and had been singing and talking noisily the whole afternoon. Gong Gong took him out from the cage in the morning and put him on a stand. When Ah ma went outside to check on the birds, she found that Jerry was missing from the stand. DH went out to the neighbour's house to check but couldn't find him. We thought we had lost him! Sometimes, Jerry would break away from the chain and walk around the car porch. He cannot fly because his wings have been clipped. We thought Cruella had eaten him for lunch. Ah ma and di yi were very sad.

After awhile, Gong gong went out to check and saw that Jerry was actually hiding, taking shelter from the rain on top of the bird cage! Jerry is indeed a very smart bird.

Bird Flu

Poor Jerry was sick for more than a week. Gong Gong brought him to the vet yesterday. The vet said that Jerry has a flu and eye infection. We were all very worried because Jerry is a very smart bird that can talk very well. Even when he was sick, when ah ma stroked his head, he would say "Hallo" very softly. DH had to feed him with nutritious food like egg yolk, glucose water and gong gong even bought Jerry's favourite organic sunflower seeds and walnuts for him. Luckily, he has recovered and we hope Jerry will start talking again. Jerry likes to imitate our barking and DH is always mistaken that we are outside the house.

It's grooming time again. Last Saturday, ah ma brought the 3 of us for grooming at the pet shop opposite our house. This new groomer is a handsome young man who grooms show dogs . Nowadays, we look very cute, just like the dogs in the magazine.


Aunty Roxy with her usual Schnauzer cut. Nowadays, her fur is very black and shiny. She is also getting very fierce and naughty. She always likes to growl at people. Ah ma was bitten by her while cleaning her ears. Aunty Roxy bit ah ma's index finger right thru her nail. It was very painful and ah ma had to see a doctor immediately. The doctor had to laser off part of ah ma's nail and gave her an injection. The doctor's fee costed $450. Imagine how much snacks ah ma could have bought for us with the money.

Ah ma loves us very much and she was not angry with Aunty Roxy. Aunty Roxy was very scared as she knew that she had done something wrong.

Mummy always looks very sweet in any style.

I had the new "Aunty" look. I am not your cute Gabby Gabby anymore.

My ears are long and curly. Wonder when I can have the cute and sweet Teddy bear look again.

Now I am beginning to have the same hair style like ah ma.

I don't want to keep my ears long anymore :(

Picnic at Sentosa

Last Friday, I went picnic with my 2 ah yis and uncle Daryl in Sentosa. Mummy and aunty Roxy did not join us because ah yis were afraid that they cannot handle so many dogs. Mummy is very timid and she gets nervous very easily whenever we go out to the park. Ah ma was worried that mummy may get a heart attack. Aunty Roxy likes to poo all over the place whenever she goes for a walk at the park. She also likes to bark non stop at passerbys.

Ah yis like to bring me out because I am so cute and adorable. I am also very well behaved.

I usually get alot of attention from passerbys and they always comment that I am very sweet and cute. Ah yis are very proud of me. I had a wonderful time in Sentosa.

I was very happy and smiling all the way to Sentosa. DH was afraid that I would be hungry and she packed alot of nice goodies for me to bring along.

DH gave me so much food to eat and I had a tummy ache. I poo poo on the sand and ah yi was so mad with me.

Sentosa is a very nice place. I hope mummy and aunty Roxy can come next time.

Ah yi taught me how to swim. I was very nervous at first but I enjoy swimming now.

I am taking a walk without being leashed. Sentosa is soooooooo fun. Mummy and aunty Roxy must come next time. The sand on the beach is so clean and soft.

GONG XI FA CAI

GONG XI FA CAI to all my dear family and friends. May the year of the Ox bring Good Luck, Good Health and Peace to all my loved ones, especially my ah ma.

We were very happy during Chinese New Year. We put on the new clothes that ah ma bought for us from Hong Kong. Poor ah ma was very busy preparing for the CNY holiday that she couldn't make any dresses for us. Ah ma had to make alot of cookies to give to her relatives and friends.

Ah ma let us try the cookies and they were so yummilicious. During the first day of CNY, ah ma hosted a dinner gathering for her family and on the second day, she invited gong gong's family over for lunch. Ah ma was very busy and tired during the CNY holiday so we tried to behave ourselves and be good so ah ma would be happy. Ah ma had 1 week of holiday and she stayed at home with us.

We received a few ang paos from ah ma's relatives. Ah ma will use the money to buy snacks and toys for us.

Mummy has put on some weight eating the new year cookies.

Happy Birthday Mummy!

Today is mummy's birthday and all of us are very excited. Ah ma prepared the roast lamb for mummy in the morning before she went to work. Mummy is very happy and have been smiling whole the day. Ah ma will buy mummy's favourite snacks for her this evening.

We will have to wait till June for aunty's Roxy's birthday before we can eat this dish again.

Busy, Busy ,Busy

My ah ma has been very busy since the beginning of 2009. Mummy's birthday is on 15 January and Chinese New Year is just 2 weeks away from now. Yesterday, ah ma and my two ah yis were busy making Chinese New Year cookies. Ah ma sent us for grooming so we can look cute and nice during Chinese New Year. We will be wearing the clothes that Ah ma bought from Hong Kong. I hope Ah ma and gong gong will give us Ang Pow this year. Miso jie jie's mummy gave her an Ang Pow last year. We are going to have a party for mummy's birthday. Ah ma will make roast lamb with vegetables for us on mummy's birthday. My ah yi will buy a slice of cake for mummy too. I hope mummy will receive alot of presents on her birthday.

YEAH! IT'S CHRISTMAS TIME

Hi, I am celebrating my second Christmas and I am enjoying it very much. Last year, I was still a baby, so I did not really know much about Christmas. All of us are very happy because Ah ma has bought alot of goodies for us. I heard our grand ah yis will be buying presents for us too. Ah ma will cook roast lamb with vegetables for us on Christmas day.

Recently, Ah ma told us a story about the the people in China eating cats and dogs during winter. These cats and dogs were so pitiful. It is so lucky that Aunty Roxy, mummy and I, are able to stay in a nice house with lots of love from everybody. Great Grandma fell in love with us after staying with us when Ah ma's family went to Hong Kong for holiday recently. She missed us very much when she went home. Now she comes to visit us every Sunday.

Ah ma bought alot of our favourite snacks for us.
